Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, met separately with administrative officials from the Kifri and Rizgari districts during his visit to the Garmian Administration.

During his meeting with Kifri district officials, Talabani listened to the challenges facing the area and said Kifri is one of Kurdistan’s ancient and historic cities that deserves better services. He pledged his support for efforts to develop the district and address its outstanding issues and shortcomings.

In a separate meeting with officials from Rizgari, the Deputy Prime Minister congratulated them on the area’s official designation as a district, describing the move as an important step towards improving public services.

Talabani said the people of Rizgari are the families of the victims of the Anfal campaign and deserve the highest standard of public services. He announced the establishment of the Rizgari Revitalisation Board to oversee service and investment projects in the district and pledged his support for the swift completion of the Anfal Martyrs Monument.
