Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Head of the Protection Council of the of Higher Interests of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region and Supervisor of the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal.

The meeting, attended by a number of members of the Council, reviewed the Deputy Prime Minister's successful visits to Türkiye and Albania, highlighting their importance in strengthening the Kurdistan Region's broader relations with Türkiye and Albania.

The two sides also discussed the latest developments in the Kurdistan Region and the wider region, emphasising the importance of the PUK's extensive relations at the Kurdistan, Iraqi and regional levels. Both sides agreed that, although the PUK has become a party of hope for the Kurdish people in recent years, it must further strengthen its connection with all segments of Kurdish society and engage with them more closely than ever before.

In this context, they reaffirmed the PUK's commitment to ensuring the delivery of essential public services to the people of the Kurdistan Region in a manner that reflects their resilience and the sacrifices they have made.
