Iraqi Parliament to Resume Sessions Next Week

The Iraqi Parliament is set to resume its sittings next week to discuss a number of draft laws and complete the formation of the federal government's cabinet.

A member of parliament from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) bloc told PUKMEDIA that the parliamentary recess ended yesterday and that lawmakers are expected to return for sessions next week.

She said Parliament would work to set a date for a sitting to complete the vote on the remaining cabinet appointments as part of efforts to fill the outstanding ministerial posts.
