Iraqi Airways Carries More Than 271,000 Passengers in September

Iraqi Airways recorded strong operational activity in September, operating 1,585 direct flights across its network and carrying 271,589 passengers. The figures highlight the growing volume of air travel connecting Iraq with destinations around the world.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Transport quoted Iraqi Airways Director General Mustafa Talib as saying that the figures were the result of “ongoing efforts and continuous monitoring” to improve operational performance and strengthen the airline’s ability to meet increasing demand for air travel.

Talib said the airline was continuing to work on upgrading its operational systems, expanding its flight network and improving fleet readiness, contributing to enhanced performance and the provision of more efficient and sustainable services for passengers.
