Iraqi President Nizar Amedi received Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad on Sunday.

The meeting focused on a range of domestic issues and regional developments, with both sides underscoring the importance of maintaining dialogue and coordination between the Iraqi Federal Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in support of continued understanding and cooperation that reinforces Iraq’s unity and safeguards the rights of all citizens.

“Building on the understandings already reached and maintaining responsible dialogue are key to strengthening mutual trust and creating the right environment for addressing outstanding issues,” President Amedi stressed.

He added that translating those understandings into practical steps remains essential to advancing solutions to pending files while supporting Iraq’s broader stability and development agenda.
