PUK President, Progress Party Leader Stress Coordination to Resolve Issues

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Mohammed al-Halbousi, leader of the Progress Party, in Debashan, Sulaymaniyah.

The meeting was also attended by Shalaw Kosrat Rasul and Dr Yousif Goran, members of the PUK Political Bureau.

The two sides discussed the latest political developments and stressed the importance of continued coordination and cooperation to address the challenges.

They also emphasised the need for coordination to resolve outstanding issues between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq through understanding and constitutional principles that protect the rights of all citizens.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of supporting the government in implementing its programme and completing the formation of the Cabinet.
