PUK Media Board Steps Up Preparations for Sulaymaniyah International Book Fair

PUK Media Board's meeting with officials of the Sulaymaniyah International Book Fair.

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s (PUK) Media Board is stepping up preparations to actively participate in and contribute to the success of the upcoming Sulaymaniyah International Book Fair, the largest cultural event of its kind in the province.

As part of the preparations, Latif Nerwayi, head of the PUK Media Board, received a high-level cultural and administrative delegation comprising Ariwan Siwaili, Director of Media, Printing and Publishing in Sulaymaniyah and representative of the Ministry of Culture and Youth in the Kurdistan Regional Government, as well as Hassan Rahim, head of the Sulaymaniyah International Book Fair, and members of the organising team.

The meeting focused on the necessary logistical and media arrangements to ensure effective coordination among governmental, political and cultural institutions.

The participants stressed the importance of ensuring that the fair reflects the cultural and historical significance of Sulaymaniyah as the cultural capital of the Kurdistan Region.
