PUK Official Reaffirms Support for Women Empowerment

PUK's Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa and Lava Hikmat, President of the VIM Foundation and Supervisor of the Zhnan-Women’s Union of Kurdistan.

Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Head of the Council for the Protection of the Higher Interests of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), visited the VIM Foundation and the Zhnan-Women’s Union of Kurdistan on Monday, 3 August 2026, where he was warmly received by Lava Hikmat, President of the VIM Foundation and Supervisor of the Zhnan-Women’s Union of Kurdistan.

During the meeting, which was attended by several members of the council, participants highlighted the vital role of women across all sectors and stressed the importance of supporting emerging voices to strengthen confidence among members and further advance women’s empowerment in all fields.

Sheikh Mustafa reaffirmed his full support for the organisations’ work and wished them continued success in carrying out their responsibilities.
