PUK Official, Russian CG Discuss Regional Tensions and KRG Formation

Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), said he met with Maxim Rubin, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Erbil.

Rasul said in post on social media that the two sides agreed that constructive dialogue remains the best way to resolve disputes and address the region's challenges.

The meeting also focused on political developments in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

During the talks, Rasul stressed the need to accelerate the formation of the new Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) cabinet, highlighting the importance of unity among the political parties in addressing the region's evolving political realities.
