Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region extended condolences to  His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, and to the Qatari people following the passing of former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

"With profound sorrow, I extend my deepest condolences to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the ruling family, the Government, and the brotherly people of the State of Qatar on the passing of His Highness the Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani," Talabani wrote in a statement on X.

"May Almighty God have mercy upon the deceased, and bestow patience, strength and comfort upon his family, loved ones, and the people of Qatar," he added.
