PUK President, British Consul General Discuss Political Developments and Government Formation

PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani's meeting with British CG Andrew Bizley.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Andrew Bizley, the British Consul General to the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting, which was also attended by Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, a member of the PUK Political Bureau, focused on the latest political and economic developments. Both sides underlined the importance of coordination and cooperation among all political parties in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq to address the challenges.

They also discussed the obstacles delaying the formation of the new Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

President Bafel said the PUK's position reflects the aspirations of the people to improve governance and establish a fair and strong government capable of serving all parts of the Kurdistan Region without discrimination. 

"We want genuine partnership to be the basis of work," he said.
