Qubad Talabani: Goptapa–Chamchamal Water Project Remains Top Priority for 2026

Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, said he had reviewed progress on the Goptapa–Chamchamal and Line 3 Dukan–Sulaymaniyah water projects during a meeting with the team from Habika Company.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Talabani said the meeting focused on the implementation of both strategic water projects, adding that it was agreed to disburse part of the budget required for the Goptapa–Chamchamal project. He also congratulated the company on its successful management of the project.

Talabani stressed that the Goptapa–Chamchamal water project remains their top priority for 2026, emphasising that work must continue to ensure the project is completed on schedule.
