PUK President Emphasises Importance of Joint Diplomatic Efforts to Reduce Tensions

PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani and Joshua Harris, the Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Iraq.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Joshua Harris, the Chargé d'Affaires of the United States Embassy in Iraq, at Jalal Talabani's residence in Baghdad.

During the meeting, President Bafel congratulated Joshua Harris and the American people on the occasion of America's Independence Day, the 4th of July.

The latest political developments in Iraq and the region, as well as the formation of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), were discussed. Bafel Jalal Talabani emphasised the importance of joint diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in order to establish peace and stability in the region.
