The Centre 1 of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in Sulaymaniyah hosted a panel discussion on Saturday, 4 July 2026, entitled "To Overcome the Deadlock in Kurdistan and Prepare for the Elections."

The event featured Latif Nerwayi, a member of the PUK Leadership and Head of the Media Board, alongside Shwan Jabar and Shaswar Ata. The discussion was moderated by Azher Karim.

Panellists examined the ongoing political deadlock in the Kurdistan Region, preparations for the forthcoming elections, and the importance of encouraging citizens to participate in the electoral process.
