President Bafel: Major General Ayub Yusuf’s Service Is a Source of Pride

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Major General Ayub Yusuf, a veteran Peshmerga and commander, in Dabashan.

During the meeting, President Bafel paid tribute to Major General Ayub’s role, long-standing struggle and dedication as a veteran activist and a courageous commander. He said Major General Ayub has devoted his life to the Kurdish national cause and, as a proud son of Erbil, remains, alongside his comrades, an integral part of the Kurdish people’s historic achievements. He added that the Major General’s service and leadership within the Peshmerga forces are a source of pride for all.

For his part, Major General Ayub Yusuf thanked President Bafel, reaffirming that he will always remain a Peshmerga in service of Kurdistan and the PUK, and will faithfully carry out any duty entrusted to him in the service of the people.
