Saadi Ahmed Pire, Khalid Shwani Emphasise Need to Reactivate Kurdistan Parliament

Saadi Ahmed Pire, a member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Iraq's Minister of Justice, Khalid Shwani, in Baghdad today, Tuesday.

The meeting was also attended by Aras Mohamed Agha, a member of the PUK Leadership Council and Head of the Nineveh-Mosul Headquarters.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of political and national issues, with particular focus on the latest developments in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

They also underlined the importance of reactivating the Kurdistan Parliament and stressed the need to take urgent and practical steps to form the new Kurdistan Regional Government.

Both sides emphasised that the formation of the new government should be based on practical measures rather than political slogans, enabling it to respond effectively to citizens' needs and address the challenges facing the Kurdistan Region during the current phase.
