PUK President: PUK is Working Diligently to Form a Strong, Service-Oriented Government

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Akira Endo, Japan's Ambassador to Iraq.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest political developments in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the wider region. President Bafel said: "The PUK had worked from the outset to minimise the impact of the recent US-Israeli war with Iran on our country."

He also reaffirmed: "The PUK is working diligently to form a strong, service-oriented government that carries out its responsibilities on the principles of justice, balance and national unity, while safeguarding the rights of all parties."

The meeting also underscored the importance of strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and Japan.
