Rifaat Abdullah: PUK Remains a Key Force for Democracy and the Protection of National Rights

Rifaat Abdullah, Vice President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), chaired a meeting with the party’s Democratic Organisations Board to discuss organisational mechanisms and preparations for the next phase of political and democratic work.

The meeting was attended by Leadership Council member Stran Abdullah and Amal Jalal, Head of the Organisations Board. During the session, VP Abdullah stressed that effectively addressing current challenges requires the activation of party and organisational procedures, emphasising the importance of ensuring that the party is fully prepared for the responsibilities of the next phase.

He noted that, alongside its historic role in defending the national rights of the Kurdish people, the PUK remains an important instrument for advancing democratic objectives and fulfilling the aspirations of citizens.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Abdullah called on board members and participants to intensify their efforts to expand and strengthen organisational and democratic activities, while enhancing engagement and communication with all segments of society.
