President Amedi Hails Cabinet Vote as Landmark Step for Stability and Governance

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi affirmed today, Thursday, that the parliamentary vote on the cabinet represents a pivotal national milestone and an important constitutional step.

In a post on the social media platform X, he stated that the vote marks a significant move towards strengthening political stability, reinforcing Iraq’s security and sovereignty, unifying efforts to address current challenges, and fulfilling national responsibilities.

He extended his congratulations to Ali al-Zaidi and the newly appointed ministers on securing the confidence of Parliament, expressing hope for the swift completion of the cabinet to ensure effective implementation of the government programme and the realisation of the aspirations of the Iraqi people.

He also conveyed his appreciation to Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani and his government for their efforts over the past period, commending their dedication to carrying out their responsibilities and serving the public.
