Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met in Baghdad with Ali al-Zaidi, Iraq’s Prime Minister-Designate.

The meeting focused on the latest political developments in Iraq, with both sides stressing the need to step up efforts towards the formation of a strong national government capable of responding to the challenges facing the country at this stage.

They also underlined the importance of establishing an inclusive government that reflects all components of Iraqi society and works in the service of all citizens.
