PUK President, Progress Party Leader Reaffirm Need to Form Government Within Constitutional Timeframe

PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani and Mohammed al-Halbousi, leader of the Progress Party.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Mohammed al-Halbousi, leader of the Progress Party, at President Mam Jalal's house in Baghdad.

The meeting was also attended by Darbaz Kosrat Rasul and Khalid Shwani, members of the PUK Political Bureau.

During the talks, the two sides discussed the political situation in the region, stressing the importance of forming the new Iraqi government within the constitutional timeframe. 

They also emphasised the necessity of boosting coordination and cooperation among political parties in order to expedite the formation process in accordance with constitutional provisions.
