Iraqi President Nizar Amedi has reaffirmed his full support for ensuring justice for workers and safeguarding their rights on International Labour Day.

In a post on the X platform, the President stated: “I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to the honourable workers of Iraq—men and women, the builders of the nation and their dedicated hands—on the occasion of International Labour Day. They continue, with determination and sincerity, the journey of construction and progress.”

President Amedi added: “We recall with pride their struggle and sacrifices for dignity, justice, and labour rights,” emphasising “our full support for all measures that ensure fair treatment, protect their legitimate rights, improve their working conditions, and provide a safe and dignified environment befitting their great contributions.”
