President Bafel Hosts Senior PUK Figures in Debashan, Stresses Kirkuk Unity and Service

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met in Dabashan with Rifaat Abdullah, Vice President of the PUK; Aso Mamand, Head of the party’s Kirkuk–Salahaddin branch; and Rebwar Taha, a member of the Leadership Council.

President Bafel expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to both Rifaat Abdullah and Aso Mamand for their role in serving Kirkuk, noting that their efforts are widely recognised and are a source of pride for the PUK, reflecting their commitment to the political approach of President Mam Jalal.

During the meeting, President Bafel also praised the continued contributions of Rebwar Taha, highlighting his dedicated and impartial service to Kirkuk and its people. He added that they take pride in capable young figures like him within the PUK’s ranks, affirming that they will have President Bafel’s full support in any party or governmental position.

The PUK President reaffirmed that coexistence among the diverse communities of Kirkuk is the foundation of the city’s stability and prosperity. He stressed that no slogans or statements from any side would deter them; rather, they strengthen their resolve to serve Kirkuk, describing it as a vital part of the PUK and a stronghold of its resilience. He concluded by underlining their continued commitment to the enduring path of President Mam Jalal in serving the city.
