PUK President Marks 128th Anniversary of Kurdistan Newspaper, Reaffirms Commitment to Press Freedom

On the 128th anniversary of the publication of the Kurdistan newspaper, Bafel Jalal Talabani President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) extend their warmest congratulations to journalists, reaffirm their commitment to freedom of expression.

The following is PUK President's message:

On the occasion of the 128th anniversary of the publication of Kurdistan newspaper, we extend our warm congratulations to journalists. 

We reaffirm our commitment to freedom of expression and to safeguarding the dignity of journalists, considering it a priority to ensure a supportive working environment for writers who act responsibly and with integrity.

The PUK proudly upholds the legacy of President Mam Jalal, a steadfast advocate of press freedom. Accordingly, preserving that freedom is, for us, an expression of loyalty to the path we continue to follow.

On this day, we also pay tribute to the dedicated efforts of all journalists who carry out their work faithfully within the established principles of their profession.
