U.S. President Says They Will 'Get' Iran's Enriched Uranium

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said that Washington will “get” Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium, which he has been calling 'dust,' without giving Tehran any funds.

"The U.S.A. will get all nuclear 'dust,' created by our great B2 Bombers - No money will exchange hands in any way, shape, or form," President Trump said on his Truth Social platform, referring to the bombing of Iranian nuclear sites that he ordered in June 2025.

His comments came minutes after the Axios news website reported that Trump is mulling unfreezing $20 billion in blocked Iranian funding in return for Tehran handing over its uranium stockpile.

U.S. President Donald Trump said he was confident that an agreement to end the Iran war could be reached soon, and called on the Tehran-backed Hezbollah to maintain the ceasefire as a 10-day truce came into effect between Lebanon and Israel.

President Trump added that the next round of talks between the United States and Iran could take place at the weekend, and that a two-week extension to the ceasefire remained possible, though it might not be necessary as Tehran was seeking an agreement.

"We're going to see what happens. But I think we're very close to making a deal with Iran," he told reporters outside the White House, adding if an agreement was reached and signed in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, he may go there for the occasion.

Hours later while in Las Vegas, President Trump went further, saying the war "should be ending pretty soon".

Axios reported that the next round of talks is expected to take place Sunday in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Regarding wether if Lebanon is a part of the deal or not, President Trump said in the same post on Truth Social: "This deal is in no way subject to Lebanon, either, but the USA will, separately, work with Lebanon, and deal with the Hezboolah situation in an appropriate manner."

He added that "Israel will not be bombing Lebanon any longer. They are PROHIBITED from doing so by the U.S.A. Enough is enough!!! Thank you! Again! This deal is not tied, in any way, to Lebanon, but we will, MAKE LEBANON GREAT AGAIN!"

He also said that Iran has agreed to never close the Strait of Hormuz again after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said the strait was open following a ceasefire accord agreed in Lebanon.
