Sulaymaniyah Forum
Tomorrow marks the start of the two-day forum, which will feature numerous political figures from around the world, as well as from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
The seventh Sulaymaniyah Forum is a significant regional and national political event that brings together leaders from various political parties. Decisions regarding the future of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region are discussed at this forum.
The forum's topics include politics, economics, the environment, geopolitics, human rights, health, security, energy, peacekeeping, and governance, all of which represent new challenges after 20 years in Iraq and in which key decision-makers are actively involved.
The seventh Sulaymaniyah Forum will spark serious debates and new ideas about identifying major political, social, economic, and governance issues in Iraq and the region, as well as solutions to those issues. As a result, Sulaymaniyah will once again be the focal point of numerous discussions aimed at identifying solutions to a nation's problems.
Sulaymaniyah will host an honorable and high forum, which will carry on Mam Jalal's political legacy and provide a calm environment for heated debates. These discussions are critical for presenting Iraq's political issues and regional governance, as well as for charting a path to a solution.
The panels of the seventh forum will address a wide range of international issues, including current events and problems in the region and Iraq, as well as the global political and social climate.
The first Sulaymaniyah Forum, themed "Geopolitical Transformation in the Middle East," took place at the American University of Sulaymaniyah in 2013. All subsequent Sulaymaniyah Forums took place between 2013 and 2019. Nonetheless, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the forum was not held from 2020 to 2022. The seventh forum, titled "20 years later: Iraq and the region in the face of new global challenges," will be held in 2023.
