Qubad Talabani Congratulates Turkmens on National Day

Qubad Talabani visited the headquarters of the Turkmen Front.

Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, visited the headquarters of the Turkmen Front in Erbil on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Talabani highlighted the Kurdistan Region’s tradition of peaceful coexistence among its diverse ethnic and religious communities.

“We take pride in the culture of peaceful coexistence among all ethnic and religious components in Kurdistan. We are also proud that, as Kurds, we have always defended the rights of all communities in Iraq,” he said.

Talabani added that President Mam Jalal had worked to protect and safeguard the rights of all communities without discrimination, including the Turkmen community.

“President Mam Jalal worked without discrimination to protect and guarantee the rights of all communities, including the Turkmen, and we continue to follow this path,” he said.

Referring to Turkmen National Day, Talabani said his visit to the Turkmen Front’s office in Erbil was intended to extend his congratulations on the occasion.

“The Turkmen are an important component of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and we support ensuring all their rights,” he said.
