Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, met on Monday with German Ambassador to Iraq Dr Daniel Krebber, where the two sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The meeting, held in Erbil, included an exchange of views on the conclusion of the Coalition mission and the withdrawal of its forces from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

"Germany stood with the Kurdistan Region at a critical time, and we remain deeply appreciative of its invaluable support, particularly its assistance to the Peshmerga forces," Talabani said in a post on X.

"In my meeting with German Ambassador Dr. Daniel Krebber, we discussed strengthening our relations and expanding cooperation across areas of mutual interest," he added.
