Iraqi President Nizar Amedi has received a congratulatory message from King Charles III of the United Kingdom on the occasion of Iraq’s National Day.

According to a statement from the Iraqi Presidency, King Charles III reaffirmed the longstanding friendship between Iraq and the United Kingdom and expressed his commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The King conveyed his warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Iraqi people, wishing them lasting peace, prosperity and well-being.

He said Iraq’s National Day provided an opportunity to reaffirm the depth of the friendship between the two countries, expressing his appreciation for the strength of bilateral relations and his commitment to advancing cooperation in the years ahead.

King Charles III also expressed his hope for continued cooperation between Iraq and the United Kingdom in addressing shared challenges, particularly climate change and environmental protection, and in developing effective and sustainable solutions.
