Darbaz Kosrat Rasul Commends Liu Jun’s Efforts to Strengthen PUK-China Ties

Darbaz Kosrat Rasul meets Liu Jun on Thursday.
Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, Member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s (PUK) Political Bureau and Head of the Relations Bureau, bade farewell to Liu Jun, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in the Kurdistan Region, on the occasion of the conclusion of his mission.
During the meeting, Rasul expressed his appreciation for Liu Jun’s continued efforts to strengthen and develop bilateral relations and cooperation throughout his tenure.
He highlighted the longstanding ties between the PUK and the People’s Republic of China, describing the relationship as a strong partnership whose foundations were laid by the late President Mam Jalal.
For his part, Liu Jun noted that 2026 marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He stressed that the CPC and the PUK share a longstanding friendship based on common principles and goals.
Liu Jun also expressed his hope that exchanges between the two parties and the sharing of experience would continue to expand, further strengthening relations and taking them to a higher level.
The two sides also exchanged views on the latest developments and the political situation in the region.
Rasul expressed his continued respect and appreciation for Liu Jun’s efforts during his tenure and wished him success in his future assignments and duties.
