PUK President Commends Chinese Consul General’s Role in Strengthening Bilateral Ties

PUK President and Chinese Consul General meet in Sulaymaniyah.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Liu Jun, Consul General of China to the Kurdistan Region, in Dabashan.

On the occasion of the completion of his mission, the PUK President commended the Chinese Consul General’s efforts and role in strengthening bilateral relations and expressed his gratitude for China’s continued cooperation.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the need to strengthen economic and cultural ties in pursuit of mutual interests and to support the development of the Kurdistan Region.

They also discussed the political and security situation in the region. President Bafel reaffirmed that the peaceful resolution of issues remains the only diplomatic option for ensuring peace and maintaining stability in the Middle East.
