The President Jalal Talabani Foundation (PJTF) met with a delegation from the Iraqi Ministry of Environment and a representative from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Iraq to discuss the latest developments regarding the "Martyrs’ Park" nature reserve project, as well as prospects for joint cooperation in environmental and sustainable development initiatives.

According to a statemen by the PJTF received by PUKMEDIA, the meeting covered the operational phases and evaluation process for the "Martyrs’ Park" project, highlighting its importance as an environmental vision aimed at protecting biodiversity, preserving natural ecosystems, expanding green spaces, and fostering environmental awareness in alignment with Iraq's national environmental protection efforts.
Furthermore, both sides explored potential future partnerships between the PJTF and the UNDP, focusing on joint project design and implementation in environmental and development sectors to support national efforts and advance high-impact, sustainable initiatives.
