PUK, KJG Presidents Stress Responsible Policy Amid Regional Tensions

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Ali Bapir, President of the Kurdistan Justice Group (KJG), in Dabashan, Sulaymaniyah.

The meeting was attended by several members of the Political Bureaus of both parties, with discussions focusing on the latest political developments in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the wider region.

The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the PUK and KJG in order to better serve the interests of the people.

They also discussed citizens’ living conditions and stressed the need for the government to take practical and urgent measures to address their concerns and resolve outstanding problems.

Addressing the escalating tensions in the region, the PUK and KJG Presidents emphasised the importance of pursuing a national and responsible policy to ensure that the Kurdistan Region remains part of efforts to find solutions and is protected from potential negative consequences.
