PUK Delegation Attends 12th Anniversary Commemoration of Yazidi Genocide in Shingal

PUK Delegation visits Shingal.

A delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), led by Aras Mohammed Agha, a member of the PUK Leadership Council and head of the party’s Nineveh Organisational Centre, attended a ceremony marking the 12th anniversary of the Yazidi genocide and the occupation of Shingal (Sinjar) by the ISIS terrorist organisation.

The delegation included former head of the PUK Shingal Organisational Centre Dawood Sheikh Jundi, MP Basman Navkhosh, Nineveh Provincial Council members Mohammed Jasim al-Kakayi and Wissam Salim, as well as a number of PUK members and cadres.

The commemoration was held on Monday, 3 August 2026, in Shingal district, with the participation of numerous government officials, political figures and Yazidi representatives from Nineveh province.
