Iraqi President Nizar Amedi received Czech Ambassador to Iraq Jan Šnaidauf in Baghdad on Saturday, according to a statement issued by the Iraqi Presidency.

According to the Iraqi Presidency, the meeting focused on ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in the economic, investment, educational, and cultural fields.

President Amedi affirmed the importance of deepening Iraq-Czech cooperation across these sectors, emphasizing that "Iraq pursues a balanced foreign policy built on strengthening its ties with friendly countries in ways that support sustainable development, promote the exchange of expertise, and advance our shared interests."

Ambassador Šnaidauf reaffirmed his country's commitment to further strengthening relations with Iraq and expanding cooperation across a wide range of fields. He also expressed his appreciation for the positive progress Iraq has made in the areas of development and openness.
