PUK President Reaffirms Support for Halabja Development in Meeting with Governor

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met Halabja Governor Nuxsha Nasih in Dabashan, Sulaymaniyah.

During the meeting, President Bafel praised Governor Nasih for her role and contributions as the first woman to serve as a governor in both the Kurdistan Region and Iraq who has set a successful example in administering Halabja and serving its people, particularly the families of the martyrs.

Governor Nasih presented a report outlining the province's development programmes, administrative responsibilities and key needs. She called for greater cooperation among all stakeholders to boost services across Halabja.

President Bafel reaffirmed the PUK's support for the governor's work, stressing that Halabja and its people deserve better services. He said that more projects should be implemented in the city at the current stage.
