The Cadre Education and Development Academy of the General Studies Centre of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) on Sunday launched a two-month media development course, with the participation of party officials and representatives from relevant institutions.
Opening the programme, Tahsin Namiq, head of the Cadre Education and Development Academy, outlined the preparations and organisational arrangements for the course. He said the programme is designed to strengthen the skills of media personnel, particularly in political analysis and in understanding the PUK's policies and strategic vision.
Namiq also expressed his appreciation to the lecturers and organisers whose efforts contributed to the preparation and launch of the course.
Dr Yousif Goran, head of the General Studies Centre, highlighted the important role participants will play in communicating the PUK's messages and helping to foster informed public opinion across the Kurdistan Region. He stressed the need to present the party's policies and strategies accurately, clearly and responsibly.
PUK Spokesperson Karwan Gaznay described the course as an important step towards enhancing the professional capabilities of media personnel. He said such training programmes help strengthen communication of the party's vision and policies within its institutions, as well as in parliament and government.
The course will run for two months at the Academy of Education and Cadre Development and includes 24 participants representing cities and districts across the Kurdistan Region.
