Darbaz Kosrat Rasul Receives Russian Ambassador for Talks on Political Developments

Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, member of the Political Bureau and Head of the Relations Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Elbrus Kutrashev, the Russian Ambassador to Iraq, at the PUK Political Bureau headquarters in Erbil on Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by Maxim Rubin, Russia’s Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, and Dara Khailany, a member of the PUK Leadership Council. Discussions centred on regional developments and the latest political situation.

The two sides also addressed efforts to form the new Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) cabinet, stressing the importance of maintaining dialogue and mutual understanding. They agreed that the continued delay in forming the cabinet is not in the public interest and underlined the need for all political parties to take responsible steps, guided by a national vision, to overcome existing challenges.
