Qubad Talabani, Supervisor of the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal, has paid tribute to veteran politician Omar Sayed Ali.

Qubad Talabani, Supervisor of the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal, has paid tribute to veteran politician Omar Sayed Ali following a visit to him.

In a post on Facebook, Talabani described Omar Sayed Ali as a veteran leader, long-time struggler of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), and former coordinator of the Change Movement, praising his honesty, loyalty and political experience.

“During his youth and in difficult times, he never hesitated to make sacrifices for his people and served them with sincerity and courage,” Mr Talabani wrote.

He added that he was delighted to visit Mr Omar and wished him good health and a long life.

“It is our duty to honour and respect our veteran leaders and fighters,” Mr Talabani said.
