PUK VP: PUK Supports Activating Parliament and Forming Service-Oriented Government

PUK VP Rifaat Abdullah's meeting with PUK lawmakers.

Rifaat Abdullah, Vice President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), affirmed that the PUK and the people of Kurdistan have made immense sacrifices to establish and strengthen official and legal institutions in the Kurdistan Region, stressing that the party considers itself a guardian and defender of these national achievements.

The remarks were made during an expanded meeting chaired by VP Abdullah with the PUK lawmakers in the Kurdistan Parliament, attended by Samir Hawrami, head of the party's Government and Parliament Board.

VP Abdullah stated that the PUK regards parliament and all national institutions as belonging solely to the people of Kurdistan. 

He reaffirmed the party’s firm support for an active parliament capable of effectively carrying out its oversight responsibilities, while also advancing efforts to form an efficient and service-oriented government.
