PUK President, Dutch Ambassador Reaffirm Importance of Developing Bilateral Relations

PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani and Janet Alberda, Dutch Ambassador to Iraq.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Janet Alberda, Dutch Ambassador to Iraq, at President Mam Jalal’s house in Baghdad.

The meeting, which was attended by Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, member of the PUK Political Bureau, emphasised the importance of continuing coordination and developing bilateral relations in a way that serves mutual interests.

During the meeting, discussions also covered the role of the Kurds in the formation of the new Iraqi government, along with several other regional and political issues.

President Bafel said: "We will work diligently to form a government whose vision is based on genuine partnership and service to citizens."
