Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Qubad Talabani has highlighted growing relations between the Kurdistan Region and Greece following discussions with the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Georgios Gerapetritis.

The talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, tourism, higher education, and agriculture, reflecting what both sides described as steady progress in recent years.

Talabani also called for the establishment of direct flights between Sulaymaniyah and Athens, aiming to further boost connectivity and economic exchange.

In addition, both parties welcomed the success of the Delphi Economic Forum in Sulaymaniyah last year, agreeing to work together to ensure the forum continues to be hosted in the city in the future.
