Head of PUK's General Studies Centre Receives Russian CG, Discusses Regional Stability

Dr Yousif Goran, Head of the General Studies Centre received Maxim Rubin, Consul General of Russia.

Today, Tuesday, Dr Yousif Goran, Head of the General Studies Centre of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Maxim Rubin, Consul General of Russia in the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting was attended by Dr Omed Rafiq, Head of the Strategic Research Centre, and Dr Mofaq Khalid, Head of the Academy of Education and Cadre Development. Discussions focused on the latest political developments in Iraq and the wider region, with both sides stressing the importance of maintaining stability and peace.

The talks also examined ongoing regional tensions and their impact on the Kurdistan Region, particularly in relation to security and the economy. Dr Goran underlined that the PUK supports peace efforts and does not wish for the Kurdistan Region to be drawn into the conflict.
