PUK President Reaffirms Commitment to Yazidi Rights

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), offered a congratulatory message to the Yazidis on the occasion of the Jama Holiday.

The message reads as follows:

On the occasion of the Jama Holiday, I extend my warmest congratulations and heartfelt wishes to my Yazidi brothers and sisters, hoping that they celebrate this holiday in peace and happiness.

As we have consistently affirmed, we will continue to support and defend the rights of the Yazidis and work towards improving conditions in Shingal [Sinjar], while ensuring that those displaced are able to return safely to their homes.

The PUK remains steadfastly at your side and regards serving you as a solemn duty.
